What’s New or Changing in 2026?

Open Enrollment will be ACTIVE. This means you are required to log in to Workday and select or waive benefits for 2026.

Your selections will not roll over from this year. If you do not take action during Open Enrollment, you will not be enrolled in benefits for the 2026 plan year.

We’re making changes to your benefits in order to keep them competitive, sustainable, and aligned with employee needs. These changes will simplify your benefits experience, expand pharmacy coverage within our Blue Shield medical plans, and offer choice within our dental plans. Together, these updates reflect our commitment to providing high-quality coverage and supporting employees’ overall well-being. To help you understand what this means for you, here are the changes for the upcoming year:

  • Change in medical carrier from Anthem to Blue Shield
    • New! Enhanced pharmacy coverage
  • Change in dental carrier from MetLife to Blue Shield
    • New! Now offering two dental plans (Core and Enhanced)
  • Change in carrier for Accident, Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity Plans from Anthem to Lincoln Financial
  • Change to employee contributions for the medical, dental and voluntary plans
  • Annual maximum increases for the Health Savings Account, Flexible Spending Accounts, and the Commuter Accounts
  • Important Update: Supplemental Life Insurance

New! Blue Shield Medical Plans

Starting January 1, 2026, our Copay and High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) with HSA medical plan options will be offered through Blue Shield. The new Blue Shield plans have enhanced pharmacy benefits, helping you save on prescription costs. Please click here to review the new prescription formulary list (Plus Drug Formulary Search).

If you’re currently seeing a provider who is not in the Blue Shield network, you may be able to continue your treatment and still receive in-network benefits through Blue Shield’s Continuity of Care Program. More information will be provided during our Open Enrollment sessions.

With Blue Shield, you will have access to their mobile app, giving you the ability to:

  • Find a doctor or urgent care center near you
  • View or print your Blue Shield member ID card
  • Check your deductible and copay/coinsurance year-to-date totals
  • View your claims
  • Review your benefits information

Additionally, two ID cards will be sent to all Blue Shield enrollees prior to January 1, 2026.
