Eligibility and Enrollment

Benefits are available to all full-time employees in Canada. Enrollment into the plan is not automatic, new hires wishing to participate must complete an enrollment form and submit to the benefits team within 30 days of joining.

Below is a summary of the benefits offered.

Plan Feature Benefits
Group RRSP When you choose to join the Group RRSP, Alteryx matches 50% of your contribution up to the first 6% of your contributions. New hires are eligible to join on the 1st of the month following 30 days of service.
Extended Health Provides extra benefits to supplement provincial coverage. It covers things like prescription drugs, semi-private hospital care, vision care, and paramedical practitioners. Alteryx covers 100% of the premiums for you and your dependents.

Extended Dental The dental plan provides 90% coverage for preventive, basic, and 60% coverage to major dental services, up to an annual maximum of CAD $2,000 per person. Ortho benefits included: 50% co-insurance up to a lifetime max benefit of CAD $2,000. Alteryx covers 100% of the premiums for you and your dependents.
Extended Vision Care The vision plan covers 100% of eye examinations and has an allowance of CAD $350 towards lenses and frames once every 24 months (12 months if participant is 18 years or younger). Alteryx covers 100% of the premiums for you and your dependents.
Basic Life & AD&D The benefit is 2x’s your Basic Annual Salary up to CAD $500,000 in the event of your death. Policies above CAD $417,000 require completion of an Evidence of Insurability Form. Forms can be submitted to benefits@alteryx.com. Alteryx pays 100% of the premium.
Supplemental Life & AD&D You have the option to elect supplemental life insurance for you and your dependents in increments of CAD $10,000 up to CAD $250,000. Employee pays 100% of the premium.
Short-Term Disability The benefit is 66.67% of your weekly salary up to a maximum of CAD $1,490 in the event that you are unable to work as the result of a disability. Benefit waiting period for disease is 7 days and zero for accident and protects you for up to 26 weeks. Alteryx pays 100% of the premium.
Long-Term Disability The benefit is 66.67% of your monthly salary up to a maximum of CAD $7,000 in the event that your disability extends beyond 26 weeks. This benefit protects you as long as you’re disabled or reach the age of 65. Policies above CAD $6,450 require completion of an Evidence of Insurability Form. Alteryx pays 100% of the premium.

New Hires/Joiners

New hires must enroll within 30 days of start date. If you miss your initial enrollment period, you will need to undergo a health assessment in order to join the health and disability benefits above (except RRSP). Please complete the Application for Group Coverage Form and return to the benefits team.

Adding & Removing Dependents

If you experience a life event such as marriage, divorce or birth of child, you may add/remove dependents from your plan. Please email the Benefits Team right away so that we can either add/remove dependents, you will have 30 days from date of event to make any changes.

Additional Perks

Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) Eligible employees may participate in the Employee Stock Purchase Plan, employees may join on a semi-annual schedule, August 15 and February 15. Acceptable contribution percentages range from 1%-15% of base salary. Stock is purchased on the employees behalf on August 14 and February 14. Participants receive a 15% discount on the lower of the closing price on the Offering Date and the closing price on the Purchase Date. Consider working with a professional tax advisor on the best financial strategies for your personal situation.

Contribution changes are made through your Solium account. During an Offering Period, you may only decrease your contribution rate once for such Offering Period. You may either decrease or increase your contribution rate for the next Offering Period during the enrollment window prior to the beginning of such Offering Period. You may not increase your contribution rate during any Offering Period. For contribution changes to take effect by a certain pay date, you must make the change at least 7 business days prior to that pay date.

You may withdraw from the program during any Offering Period. Withdrawals must be made at least 2 business days prior to the end of an Offering Period. Accumulated payroll deductions will be returned on the next payroll. Re-enrollment into the plan must be done at least 7 business days prior to the beginning of an Offering Period. You may reduce your contributions to 0% during an Offering Period without withdrawing from the Offering. Your contributions to that date will be used to purchase shares on the Purchase Date. To participate in the Plan for the next Offering Period, you must re-enroll by increasing your contribution rate during the enrollment window prior to the beginning of such Offering Period.

Fertility Care & Family Planning Eligible Alteryx employees have access to employer-sponsored funds which can be used towards fertility treatments and family planning services. Alteryx’s inclusive program is designed to support every unique parenthood journey and covers fertility education and assessments, fertility preservation, in vitro fertilization, surrogacy, adoption and more. Participants also have access to virtual chats with physicians and other specialists, an expert-authored library of educational resources, and access to a dedicated Care Team.

Tuition Reimbursement Program Alteryx invests in your education and career development. Eligible employees may receive up to CAD $6,615 annually for qualified expenses in a pre-approved course of study from an accredited university.

Health & Wellness Reimbursement Alteryx supports your healthy choices by providing reimbursements for gym memberships, registration fees, etc. The Company will reimburse CAD $31 per month up to CAD $372 annually. Reimbursements are direct-deposited annually in the month of December.

Paid Annual Leave Regular full-time employees earn paid annual leave equal to (15) days per year OR (120) hours per year and (20) days per year OR (160) hours per year after 3 years of seniority. Balances are accrued per pay period (5 or 6.67 hours per pay period based on seniority) and can have a max amount of (180) hours or (240) hours for after 3 years of seniority. All time up to max amounts roll over year to year. New hires begin accruing on date of hire.

Volunteer Time Off (VTO) Regular full-time and part-time employees are eligible for up to (20) hours of paid leave per year.

Sick Time Off Regular full-time employees are eligible for (5) days of paid leave for sick time; (3) days if hired between July and October; (0) days when hired after October 1st.

Witness Regular full-time employees are eligible for (5) days of paid leave per event.

Jury Duty Regular full-time employees are eligible for (5) days of paid leave per event.

Voting Regular full-time employees are eligible for (2) hours of paid leave per event.

Bereavement Regular full-time and part-time employees are eligible for up to (7) days per event; (5) days regardless of relationship; (7) days for a child less than 25 years of age.
